Ladeez and
germs,
It's been a while, as the dog shit awful god rockers Nickelback are want
to remind me every time I turn on the fucking goddamn RADIO!!!!! .......sorry
about that. pet hates an all... anyhow on with the show....
New Signings ahoy!
SUPERSUCKERS!!!!! Yes that's right, THE Supersuckers, as in godfathers
of modern rock n roll you heathen scum!!!!! I'm not even going to get
started about how much this means to us all as the signings recently seem
to just get more and more exciting so you'll already be sick of me wetting
my pants. Suffice to say that in September we'll be doing the European
release of their latest album It Must Have Been Live and
if all goes according to plan we'll be looking at a new studio rock n
roll monster next year. Don't say we're not good to you!!!
YOB. Straight out of Portland Oregon, YOB (who's debut album Emission
of Carbon can be found on the excellent 12th records) have decided
to throw done whit da L'sound. You have no fucking idea how heavy this
band is. Imagine Burning Witch doing a cover version of Jerusalem in a
space vacuum. Utterly crushing. The riffs are so punishing that I damn
near had a panic attack listening to the rough mixes. no less than studio
maestro Billy Anderson himself has ASKED to mix n master the record to
ensure maximum bowel loosening low end violence.
and in other news........
Backdraft as hard grafting
as ever slayed em in the aisles on their jaunt through Holland with Five
Horse Johnson. they're getting some new material together now for the
follow up to "Here to Save You All" and if the
stuff we've been treated to in the live set is anything to go by I think
it's going to be a monster.
Nunchukka Superfly. heading your way soon. the beast will be unleashed
next month so I would suggest smoking a few bowls to attain the correct,
er, "mindset".
Sir Hedgehog and Cracktorch
are rocking as hard as ever and hopefully you'll be heading over to the
shop to pick up a copies of their new albums.
Both of them are fuckin' genius and should be more than enough to keep
you footstompin' and headbanging for the rest of the summer. Keep eyes
peeled for touring soon.
Acid Ape currently putting the finishing touches to their release
party plans. If anyone happens to be in Gothenburg on the 29 of sept then
you'll most likely notice a lot of noise. Drop by and check it out. you
won't be disappointed.
Roadsaw are demoing new songs
and building their own studio. Time consuming but worth the wait we're
sure. "Anything that helps get the rawk to the people brutha's and
sisters"
Valis will be hitting the ground running in September with the
delivery of their debut long player V.A.L.I.S, not content to hang around
though, they're already working on the follow up......
Leadfoot are raring to go. They're been doing a few select shows
around their home turf but they're most eager to get back over here to
Europe and kick some rock n roll for your soul. the new album is due for
an October release but trust me when I say it's worth the wait
Generous Maria are
in the process of setting up some shows and basking in the glory of their
excellent press. "A new album sure, but more than that, it's a declaration
- of war, of independence, maybe just of rock supremacy, but all you really
need to know right now is that it's big, it's menacing, and it's headed
your way, motherfucker. - Sleazegrinder :Carbon 14 / hit List. Look
out for a possible Generous Maria / Backdraft tour this year.
Black Moses have had a
name change...and then some. Officially the band have broken up and regrouped
under a different name as "License to destroy". their
writing is taking a turn for the more high energy style so they've decided
to start afresh along with new boy Steve D'enton (ex Quickspace) as drummer.
They're now in the managerial hands of a certain Mr Alan McGee so I think
it's safe to say you'll be hearing more from them soon.....
3D House Of Beef
are on permanent hold at the moment. main man Nial McGaughey has taken
up residence amongst the ranks of the legendary underground noise terrorists
16. You'll hear more from them soon......
Gorilla are writing new material
and getting things together for a possible Swedish mini tour. they're
preparing to head into the studio for a new album sometime in the near
future, but in true Gorilla style, we can't be sure when :-)
